2. What Are Cookies and Why Do We Use Them?
Cookies are small data files stored on your device (computer, phone, tablet, etc.) when you visit a website. We use cookies to make sure the Platform works properly, to improve your experience, to analyse how the Platform is used and to show you personalised advertising based on your interests.
3. Types of Cookies Used and Legal Grounds
In line with the established decisions of the Personal Data Protection Board, cookies are processed in the following categories:
- Strictly necessary cookies: required for core functions such as running the Platform, keeping it secure and signing in. Legal ground: KVKK Art. 5/2-f (legitimate interests of the data controller) or Art. 5/2-c (conclusion and performance of a contract).
- Functional and performance cookies: remember choices such as your language preference and help us detect errors by measuring Platform performance. Legal ground: KVKK Art. 5/1 (explicit consent).
- Analytics cookies: allow us to track metrics such as visitor traffic, number of pages viewed and visit duration anonymously. Legal ground: KVKK Art. 5/1 (explicit consent).
- Advertising and marketing cookies: used to show you tailored advertising based on your shopping history and profiling information. Legal ground: KVKK Art. 5/1 (explicit consent).
4. Transfer of Data Processed Through Cookies
Data collected through cookies may be shared with business partners that provide us with technical infrastructure, third-party analytics providers and advertising networks, in accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the KVKK. Where the servers of third-party cookie providers are located abroad, this processing is carried out on the basis of your explicit consent.
5. Managing and Disabling Cookies
You can customise your preferences using the “Cookie Consent Panel” shown on your first visit to the Platform. Please note that:
- Cookies other than strictly necessary cookies are off by default and are activated only when you give consent.
- You can always delete or block cookies in your browser settings. However, blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause some features of the Platform (e.g. signing in) to stop working.
6. Your Rights as a Data Subject
